A Sneak Peek at the Comixed Comics
As we mentioned after last week’s Comixed event, we are having a number of comics made from the COMIXED: A NETWORKED CONVERSATION event at the Zion Arts Centre, Manchester on 28th October.
The comics are being illustrated and created by Manchester-based designer/illustrator team YOUNG who attended the event.
YOUNG are Gethin Vaughan and Pete Jarvis. They have also illustrated for the V&A museum and various other projects in the Manchester area. Find out more on their website.
They’ve kindly sent in a sneak peek of the comics ahead of the full launch later this week, along with a pithy blog post:
“Half way through the week – it certainly has flown by!
Three comic-book covers in – and we are pretty happy with the results so far! We decided to represent each of the debates as ‘album cover’ artwork – hoping that they will give a brief, humorous introduction into some of the issues raised. So far we have drawn an amalgamation of death eating worms, genetically modified chickens and unlikely heroes.”
Here come a sneak peek at the the comic-book covers. Click on the image to see a larger version. We think they look grand! What do you think? Please share your thoughts in the comments.
